Welcome to Black Bohemia. Bohemianism is the practice of an unconventional lifestyle, often in the company of like-minded people, involving musical, artistic, literary or spiritual pursuits. We hope to improve the African American experience!
That sums up the whole Negro/Black/African American experience. Being children of the ’60s and ’70s we remember when as a culture we relied on each other. Black businesses and culture that’s all we had, and we did not have to get anyone else to validate us. We said it loud; we were black, and we were proud. After integration, we lost that.
In the current climate of this country, it feels like we need to get back to that. Setting our own moral standards, and values and playing it forward with our young people.
