NBT's core mission remains the same today as it was at the time of its founding, to produce transformational theatrical experiences that enhance African American cultural identity by telling authentic stories of the Black experience. Dr. Teer envisioned NBT as a means to educate, enrich, entertain, empower and inform the national conscience around current social justice issues that impact our communities. We continue to provide a safe unhindered space for artist of color to articulate the complexity, and beauty of their experience through theater.

Jerk, Rum, Reggae & More…. only begins to tell the story of Atlanta’s newest transplant, Negril Village ATL. An offshoot of New York’s famed upscale Caribbean standard, Negril Village ATL is nestled in the heart of Midtown Atlanta in the historic fire station on North Avenue (30 North Avenue NE, Atlanta, GA 30308). The perfect setting where spicy meets spacious, caliente meets charming. Restoring the interior beauty of the 1907 firehouse to reveal a Colonial Caribbean aesthetic, in which beautiful wood and true craftsmanship shine through, provides the perfect backdrop for Chef Kingsley John’s innovative approach to food, especially in redesigning fine dining with Caribbean cuisine filling the broad canvas.

The creation of P. Harrell Wines has emerged from my long standing passion and appreciation for wine, from the smell of freshly picked grapes after a successful harvest to sampling wines in barrel, and ultimately indulging in the enchanting wine culture with others. I love all things wine because it is one of those simple pleasures that seamlessly intertwine people from all walks of life, creating genuine friendships.
